Hydrogen Festival Padua 2016
June 25th - July 19th
Launched in June 2009, the Padova Hydrogen Festival in Piazzola sul Brenta has rapidly become an internationally renowned event, which each year attracts thousands of spectators in the magnificent surroundings of the Camerini Amphitheatre.
Situated in front of Villa Contarini, a splendid example of a 17th century Venetian villa, the square has hosted over the years, major Italian and foreign artists such as, Laura Pausini, Robert Plant, Jovanotti, Massive Attack and also Elisa and James Blunt, to name just a few.
This year the festival has changed its name to the Postepay Sound Festival ... but the magic of the location has not changed!

Saturday 25 June
Queen + Adam Lambert
An historic opening for the festival with the newly formed Queen + Adam Lambert... One of the most influential bands of the last decades, back in Italy after their sold out concert in Milan last February.
Friday 1 July
Lacuna Coil
Led by Cristina Scabies and considered one of the most brilliant alternative Italian metal bands.
Saturday 2 July
Paolo Conte
An evening with the poet of Italian music. Fresh from the success of his last tour.
Tuesday 5 July
Max Pezzali
After the success of his autumn tour he was recently awarded the Onstage Music Award for more than 500 concerts in his career.

Prog Rock Festival Close to the Moon
Two original evenings with concerts by Alan Parsons, Procol Harum, Caravam, Adrian Belew. A new concept telling a musical story that, like the moon touches the souls of many generations.
Monday 11 July
Lionel Richie with Earth Wind & Fire
The great Lionel Richie will perform one of his three Italian dates of the summer, accompanied by Earth Wind & Fire. An explosive mix of soul, funk and disco music ready to ignite the stage.

Mika
After the extraordinary success of his concerts last year, Mika will enchant the audience with his classic songs and his undeniable charm!

Neil Young + Promise of the Real
Immortal hits like 'Alabama', 'After The Gold Rush', 'Human Highway', 'My My, Hey Hey' and 'Harvest Moon' will be part of this lineup.

Joe Bonamassa
Piazzola sul Brenta boasts the only Italian date of Joe Bonamassa, a concert that pays tribute to some of the best British blues rock guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page.

Elton John and His Band Wonderful Crazy Night
Classics and legendary hits of an artist who has sold over 250 million records worldwide. At the Hydrogen of Padua Festival, Elton John and his Band will give you a spectacular show.
Sunday 17 July
Skunk Anansie
The rock band led by the great Skin will create a volcanic show! Skunk Anansie in Piazzola sul Brenta for a leg of their extraordinary summer tour!
Tuesday 19 July
Simply Red
For the final night of the festival, Simply Red will return to play their biggest hits.
Once again you will need to stay the night in Padua, the trains won't run late enough for your return to Venice. Padua is a truly beautiful city and well worth at least a day or more. The train trip is only 40 minutes from Venice and runs often.
